The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) is aware of the tragedy that has befallen the people of Venezuela as a result of the continuous rains to which the country has been subjected. The IACHR wishes to express its deepest sympathy and declare its solidarity with all those who have suffered in the wake of this disaster. The Commission also considers it important to highlight and encourage the solidarity and support for the people of Venezuela being shown in these dire days by a number of organizations and countries.
