The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) yesterday held a meeting with the High Level Ad Hoc Commission and the Member of Congress Lourdes Flores Nano, as part of its consideration of case No. 11.760, concerning Report No. 59/98 concerning the justices who were dismissed from the Constitutional Court of Peru.

The Commission has noted that the proposal submitted at the meeting of 18 May did not achieve the necessary agreement of both parties. In view of this situation, the Commission has appealed to the parties to continue their dialogue and has expressed its willingness to contribute to the search for a satisfactory solution.

Both parties have expressed their agreement with the call to continue their dialogue.
