The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights today held a constructive meeting with the High-Level Ad Hoc Commission and the Member of Congress Lourdes Flores Nano, parties to case No. 11.760, concerning report No. 58/98 concerning the justices were who dismissed from the Constitutional Court of Peru.

The meeting considered the detailed elements of a possible friendly settlement based on new proposals submitted by the Commission.

Both parties will undertake their respective consultations, in a constructive spirit, which it is hoped will lead to a satisfactory settlement of the case.
